The title of your track “Isolation”, is easily relatable for all of us going through this pandemic right now. Is that the intention behind it, or does it have more personal meaning?
w: I’m going to be honest, I don’t go out much and I know vori doesn’t so I think the title is fitting for the both of us. We like to make music and that usually means you don’t go out much.
v: Yeah, definitely came from the pandemic. I miss going outside.
What pushed you to start producing music?
w: Tried to play the drums and a bunch of different instruments and just was never the best, so I picked up ableton young and just enjoyed it 10x more than anything else.
v: Listening to Seven Lions.
If you could pick any artist to collaborate with, dead or alive, who would It be and why?
w: That would most definitely be Elley Duhé, greatest vocalist of all time.
v: Moore Kismet. They’re crazy talented, I’d be able to die happily if they thought I was good enough to collaborate with.
What is one of your favorite songs that you have been a part of the creative process in, and why?
w: Anytime working with vori, this song may be one of my favorites but everything we have been making smacks.
v: I’d have to say this one since it’s my first release lol
What do you think you would be doing right now if it wasn’t for your music?
w: Genuinely don’t know, never had ambition to do much else.
v: Something else in art, idk if i could stay away from it.
What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?
w: Don’t overthink shit
v: Keep it weird
If you could change one thing about the industry, off the top of your head, what would it be?
w: The way revenue is generated, I think everyone would agree it’s a lot harder to get paid as a musician nowadays.
v: Pay artists more
Describe a real-life situation that inspired you as an artist?
w: All my friends growing up around me played instruments and I just wanted to be involved, now I’m able to work with them and others in the way I want to.
v: Any time being in nature
