With a Vocal lead emotional twist on a style we’ve come to know and love, “Believe” is the experimental trap anthem leading out 2021. Coming together with Saint Miller, the team creates a glitchy – yet flowy track, letting us know that if we don’t believe these artists are on the come up yet, our opinion better change real fast.
Christian: Give our fans some brief insight into you as a person and an artist. Who are you, where are you from, what first got you into music production?
bd hbt: Sam Delgado from San Francisco CA. Personally, I was always in bands growing up, so it just was a matter of time before I learned about DJ’ing and the same kind of energy it shares with live concerts. Combine that with experiencing my first rave in 2016 (Wobbleland) and the rest is history.
Saint Miller: hi, my name is Jongsoo Baek from South Korea. and when I first listened to bass music, I came to think that I wanted to make such attractive music.
Christian: How would you describe the music you create?
bd hbt: I like to encapsulate my personality in my art while simultaneously trying to make something that I know I would enjoy if I was listening to live music. I think that perfect balance is the key to creating a successful brand alongside creating individualistic art.
Saint Miller: usually, my track uses a lot of vocal. I think that’s the point. always create a lead and a synth for the vocal.
Christian: What inspired you to collaborate with each other on “Believe”, and how did you two connect (meet) initially?
bd hbt: I was personally introduced to Saint Millers music by one of my buddies from Discord and his music INSTANTLY struck a chord with me. From there, I got in contact with him simply out of curiosity which blossomed into a friendship that led to this collaboration.
Saint Miller: bd hbt contacted me through insta dm. and complimented my track.
I was touched. and I agreed 100% with him to collabo.
I sent him the framework of ‘believe’ and He finished it at a very fast pace.
Christian: Both of you have been pushing the DAW hard this year, with consistent releases every few weeks/months on either one of your Brands. Do you have any big upcoming releases you can tell your fans about now and get the hype-train gassed up?
bd hbt: All I can say is get ready for an upgraded sound from bd hbt. Newer, heavier, dancier tunes incoming.
Saint Miller: I will be releasing with many artists soon.
Christian: What are your musical goals for the near future? What direction do you see your brand and music heading in for 2022?
bd hbt: I simply want to do better than my previous years. I have tangible goals that could be considered materialist, but all in all I want to make sure that I follow the pattern of doing better than the previous year. Following that pattern is recent.
Saint Miller: First of all, my musical goal is to live my life with the music I made. It has a lot of meaning, but I really want to achieve it. and I will make a lot of tracks that are more emotional traps and powerful and restrained that anyone can feel the swag when listening to them.
Christian: What is the most useless talent you would say you have?
bd hbt: Being double jointed in my thumbs
Saint Miller: ummm not have… lol
Christian: Give some advice to any up and coming producers or beginners who may be reading our blog
bd hbt: Don’t stop making music. Make music as often as you possibly can. Simple as that.
Saint Miller: When you most exhausted, it’s close to where you want it most.
